A stock reaching a new level of low in the 52-week range is usually indicative of high amount of activity in the stock which could be either because of fundamental changes or simply due to increased trading activity on the downside.

If a stock has crossed its 52-week lows but closed at a higher price at day’s end, the momentum may not be strong and the stock might see a pull back.

But if a stock ends the day at its 52-week low it might indicate a small momentum building in the stock which could be driven by corporate events, large institutional selling, etc. This fall in price may last for a short period of time and may see some level of pull back eventually.
